critique on whitmans "A Night BAttle"

As I construe Walt Whitmans essay A Night Battle (414-15), I am reminded of the contrast amongst affluent and evil. Whitman speaks of a serene, peaceful, beautiful commit that is surrounded by violence, blood, and gore.
